Today was a very special day, for so many...today Andrew's brother was married!! How exciting! The wedding was at Clarks Hill Lake (or Strom Thurmond-for those that call it by it's official name-haha). We got to see lots of family and I was the photographer...not something I'm interested in doing officially, those people have a HARD job!
Today was special for us because 10 years ago we started dating/being bf & gf/being a couple, whatever you want to call it. On the way to the lake I came to the realization of something...10 years ago at Band Camp (again, insert your joke-we've heard them and made them all ourselves) we were at this SAME EXACT lake for the week. So a sweet coincidence came about, we actually were able to be in the same place 10 years later for our 10 year anniversary of becoming us-what an awesome memory and cool story.
Here's a look at us today.

10 Years ago I said YES
10 years ago on July 27, 2003 I said YES! to Andrew Oliver. We were at Band Camp (yes, make your jokes) and we were practicing that night. We were on a break and Andrew came to talk to me and said, "I finally have the balls to say this, Will you go out with me?" LOL hilarious wording, right?! We had already been on our first date, a week before, on July 18th. Our first date consisted of going to see the movie, How to Deal and a little dinner at Burger King, can't tell you why, but I chose that after we saw the movie because he asked where I wanted to go eat. So on June 27th, after he asked, we officially became a couple. We haven't turned back since that day.
On our 5 year anniversary, I said yes for a 2nd time. Andrew proposed on July 27, 2008, and asked me to be his wife, one of the biggest honors of my life. I am so glad I've been smart enough to say yes to this man more than once...
I am proud to call Andrew my one and only, the man of my dreams, my husband, my best friend, and the father to our baby Lucas, coming in Nov. 2013. I am so excited for many more years with this man and where life takes us. God has blessed us so much, and I cannot wait to see what He has in store for us.
I love you, Andrew. Happy 10 Years!
Now we're working on 10 years of marriage and many more years to come.
Here is a little recap of our 10 years together. It's a long video, but so sweet.

Lucas's Nursery
It's a BOY!!
Super excited for this book!!
I am so glad to have the secret out, it's been a hard one to keep!!
Here's a look at Lucas's nursery with color photos this time. It's still a work in progress, but here's a good start.
We started with painting. Originally I wanted to keep it the neutral tan color we painted the room when we moved into the house, but the more I looked at nursery stuff for girls and boys, I wanted to paint. I decided on a light blue regardless of the gender because the girl stuff had a light blue background, too.
So we painted on Sunday, touched up and finished painting on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, as our schedule allowed.
My mom wanted to get us the crib we picked out and it just so happened it was on sale this week, so she went ahead and purchased it so we could have it for the gender reveal party!! eeekk!! How exciting!! Then we were looking online and found the glider/ottoman on craigslist for half the price of it in the store, and it looked brand new! So we snagged that deal, because it was exactly the one we picked out!
So literally in a few days, it came together. I was expecting to have the room painted, but nothing more. Here is a look at some of the crafts I worked on and monogrammed for our baby boy.
Daddy starting on the crib
almost there
watching us and making sure did everything right for their baby brother
some relaxing after crib assembly
found this at a kiosk at the Tanger Myrtle Beach outlets, I wanted to get one monogrammed, and saw they had a dirt bike one, if you know me, my husband, or my dad, you know it's destiny for our child (girl or boy) to be involved in bikes...what was so cool about this purchase? It was one of the samples/examples with our baby boy's name already on it!!! And it was the LAST one they had!!! so I snagged it!
cutie
His name ready to be hung up, after painting
I painted this wooden basket, painted the letters, and put it all together
we moved the crib near the wall and look who crawled out
ta-da!!
my view from the glider
YIPPEE
found this tub -basically brand new- for $5-snagged it
Raising him right!!
stocking up
found this for $9-came with 2 covers-basically brand new!! Cleaned and ready
It's a ...BOY
Here's a look at our gender reveal party!! Thanks to our 4 amazing hostesses- Laura, Jennifer, Jamie, & Jessie.
We had lots of yummy treats!! A huge spread!! We used a few old wives tales questions to see boy/girl...it was a tie, so we added in the ring test...some said boy for the ring test, some said girl, but ultimately the ladies hosting decided it voted girl.
Our friends and family came out to celebrate, brought some of Lucas's future friends with them. Also, each person got a gift to open and see was it pink or blue? It was BLUE!!
Take a look below at our great day.
Thanks to all of our family and friends who helped us celebrate and make this day so special, it was perfect. Thank you to our 4 hostesses, we appreciate your hard work and love!!!
