Grandma Visits

My mom and I have always loved spending time together...shopping or whatever we can find to do. Since Lucas has been born the focus of course is on him, and so our visits are more about him :) (however, we usually squeeze in some shopping at some point). Usually if she comes to visit us Andrew and Mr. Eddie go to a gun show while we shop, etc, but over breaks with Lucas she's come up here simply to visit and hang out. Since we are on spring break she decided to visit us today. We had a lot of fun and found some new summer clothes for Lucas :) He's going to be quite stylish!! Thanks Grandma for coming to visit and thank you for his new sweet outfits.

He smiles so big when I'm the one snapping the pics

beginning to hold his paci (he's not attached to it, but enjoys it on occasion)

that grin!

A Jumper and A Tooth (possibly)

We bought a johnnie jumper for Lucas a couple of months ago because he loved standing on us, pushing, and 'jumping' when holding him. A couple of months later (at a more appropriate age LOL) he is starting to understand its purpose.

Another discovery, it looks as if Lucas is beginning to teeth. Occasionally he will grab my fingers as I'm holding him and start to 'chew' or gnaw on them. Today I noticed it hurt a little bit. I started to look and it looks like on the bottom he has a little whiter spot on his bottom gum....he's growing so fast, and here's just more proof.

Also, it's very scary and creepy when you see another 'you' ...I've never experienced this, but I notice more and more that Lucas is a lot like me. The other night when he was trying to get to sleep and moving around to get comfy, I just had a moment that hit me over the head and I was like Oh my gosh, that's me!!!

My Snuggle Bunny

Today after spending some time with family, we took Lucas to the mall to have his picture taken with the Easter Bunny! Little did I know, today was the first day:) lucky us. We are also blessed and lucky to have such a good baby. Everyone we are around just compliments us and Lucas, not only on his cuteness and those sweet cheeks, but also his overall attitude and temperament, which is happy and calm. He did such a great job, he loved watching the bunny and staring at his fur, it was so cute!! The ladies were infatuated with him.

Here are a few pics of my own with some cute bunny ears I found in the $1 bin at Target.

Also, I got Lucas a monogrammed Easter basket, I can't wait to get it!! I'm so excited to start another tradition with our baby boy :)

New Milestones

Lucas has been rolling up on his side for weeks, but on Saturday, March 29th, he rolled over for the first time!! I was SO excited to be the person there and I was able to video tape it, too!! I was and still am so proud of him!! Now he constantly rolls over and is scooting a LOT...I can lay him down and walk into the kitchen and come back just after putting bottles in the fridge or something....and he is turned on his stomach and sometimes facing a completely different direction ...he'll be REALLY on the move soon and we will be in some real trouble :)

First time Lucas rolled over!!

He looks quite proud, right?

Rolled over and scooted off the blanket

Another milestone ...we started trying rice cereal on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, he seemed to like it and is learning how the whole eating from a spoon thing works.

Also, this same week, we started leaving little man's arms out of his Woombie, which is like a swaddle, but it zips....it's AHHmazing!! We want to transition him out of it, but after trying last night with nothing on....it was a little rough. Since he can roll over, he does it when his feet are free. However, when he rolls over onto his tummy he wasn't soothing himself back to sleep, so we decided to use the woombie again tonight. I think I might try only his arms out for one more week and then next weekend and next week when I'm on spring break, we will try no woombie and won't have to worry about it as much since I won't have to go to work.

And another milestone...sleeping the whole night through hasn't happened again since the First Night...oh well, I love the snuggles and time with him, but I love sleep, too. However, he'll never be this little again.
