36 Weeks

Here's a look at 36 weeks & a visit from some good friends who were coming through Columbia :) they won't be able to make it to our other baby shower, so they stopped by and we spent some time with them.

Also, Daddy decided it was a great weekend to have a night out for us :) We celebrated Lucas and went out to the Melting Pot after a weekend of Childbirth Class. We had a great time in our class and learned a lot of great information. One step closer to his arrival. 

1 Month

Today is officially 1 month until Lucas's due date.

Dear Lucas,

The anticipations is killing us, your daddy and I have never been good at waiting patiently for something exciting, but we are doing it...or trying!! We are both so overjoyed to meet you. As the time draws closer, I wonder who you will look like, what you will like to do as you grow up, and who will you act like? The most important thing I want to teach you is that you have a great and mighty Lord and Savior who died for you to be born, and He will give you a positive attitude, hope, faith, and love each day...I want you to know him and become more like him each day you live. As parents I want us to not only teach you this but model this for you. Besides knowing Christ, I want you to become a wonderful student, a young gentleman to everyone, take on a talent in something-whether it be music, sports, automotives/motorcycles (like your daddy and grandpa), or whatever it is you have a passion for as you grow. I know that if you are anything like any man in our family, you will be a great Christian and a great person!! I know they are so excited to meet you and cannot wait for your arrival, we love you so much!!

I know our lives will never be the same once you're here, and we are both so excited for that. We cannot wait to hold you, love you, and introduce you to all of the WONDERFUL family and friends who already love you dearly.

Our countdown is on and we are anxiously awaiting you!! November is almost here, it's almost your time :)

34 Weeks 

A little present in the mail today. I found this cutie on Etsy, where else? and it'll be perfect for Lucas's newborn pictures. It matches his nursery theme

Coming Home Outfit

With each passing day and week, we get more and more excited to meet our baby boy. I've been working with a friend from high school to get Lucas's coming home outfit completed. I wanted to do something special since for boys there doesn't seem to be as many choices. I knew I wanted him to wear the blue Carolina booties and hat home, so I wanted his outfit to coordinate...so here's what was decided...

And sweet, sweet Danielle of Sew Stinkin Cute Designs, gave us a monogrammed burp cloth as well. Now you can say AWWWW :) How sweet and how cute!! Can't wait to see him in it!!

We had another 2 week appointment yesterday and I am currently measuring about a week ahead, crazy!!! The doctor said all it means is that he's growing. Until this appointment, he was always right on in the measuring, but no worries, as long as we are both healthy!! 

This weekend we are having our maternity pictures taken by a high school friend as well, Arann Weatherman of AW Photography!! I can't wait, I love her work, plus I got a new dress to wear, so I'm really pumped!!
