3rd Trimester

3rd trimester is here...which means roughly 12 weeks until we meet our baby boy!! We are super excited and as we prepare more and more, we and others get even more excited!!! We had a fun day visiting with my dad and grandparents-what a blessing!! God has truly proved his faithfulness to me more and more each day this week, I could not be more thankful.

We also ended our night grilling and watching the UGA/Clemsux game with Tony and his dogs--Tink and Tanner enjoyed time with Mina and Chomper :) Of course, I want neither team to win, but one has to... still a fun night!

Nice little surprise gift from Ms Mindy, ready to raise Lucas right :) Can't wait to see him use these:)

Gamecocks & Glucose

Interesting title, huh? haha!! Today marks the start of one my favorite seasons of the year--fall because of FOOTBALL :) (well in SC, fall doesn't come until much later in the year, but I can dream); however, I do LOVE football--college football--and the GAMECOCKS to be 100% correct!!

Today, I also had my glucose test at the doctor. Lots of people made it sound like the worst thing ever, I wasn't scared just unsure, but the orange sugary drink was not bad at all. It was super cold, so that made it hard to drink large gulps after I started, but other than that, not bad. I hope to find out my results soon, praying for no gestational diabetes & good results.

Today I also want to mention how blessed I am, how thankful I am, and how good God is---all the time!! My family, friends, and coworkers have truly shown such love, care, support, and many prayers over the past couple of days--and I am truly amazed at how good God is. I cannot doubt him, but He still amazes me at all times.

Today was also a great day because I was able to talk to my grandma  :) I cannot wait to visit her this weekend!

Here's a look at me and Lucas--decked out for College colors day at school & ready for the Gamecocks playing tonight!!!

Lucas is very active, even throughout the day at school! He moves to the right a lot and moves up a lot, sometimes it can be uncomfortable, but it's amazing to feel him and even see his little movements. It's crazy to think that in less than 3 months, we will meet our baby boy. Our family and friends are so excited, just as excited as us, which makes this process even more beautiful, miraculous, and just lots of fun!!!

Also, we preregistered today for the hospital, so we will be ready whenever he arrives to go on in! We are also signed up for a child birth class in Oct and 2 classes in Sept- one called Baby 101 and a Breastfeeding Class.

I am so thankful for this little boy who wakes me up at night to go to the bathroom, who moves and lodges himself right in my rib cage, and who will be with us shortly!! I told Andrew tonight that I love him and no offense, but I really hope Lucas loves the Gamecocks and football as much as me :) haha.

I am also thankful for my wonderful husband, parents, grandparents, cousins, aunts/uncles, family members, friends, and coworkers as I said, I cannot say thank you to those people enough!! I feel so blessed to have each of you in my life, and I hope you know how much I truly care and love each of you!!

GO GAMECOCKS!!!

Late update, but here's a look at week 27:

Dreaming

I have noticed since becoming pregnant that I have had a lot more dreams at night, and vivid dreams at that--Things seem so real and when I wake up I have the emotions from the dreams. (I've had this happen before but only randomly--now it's more regular and every time I dream, the memories and emotions are so vivid).

Last night I had the best dream. Lots of the dreams have been sad or upsetting, but not last night's. Last night I dreamed I had Lucas...I couldn't tell you what labor was like, my dream conveniently left that part out ;) but in the dream I remember us holding Lucas at the hospital. The overwhelming amount of love and joy I felt was indescribable. I woke up being sooooooo happy and even more excited to meet our little guy. I remember thinking in my dream he was the most beautiful and perfect baby I've ever seen (although I don't remember what he looked like after my dream).

It's weird how things change when you're pregnant, and this dream was a good change!! Here's to Lucas and us meeting him in 3 months (or so)...His due date is 3 months away :) November 23, here we come (give or take). I love feeling his kicks and movements, especially during the day when I least expect it :)

On another note, starting back to school has been good, in a new grade with a new team and new kids...God always knows what he's doing when he changes our plans and I think He made a good change for me. I am enjoying my new age group and students and team, and I am very excited for the year ahead...of course with school starting, I'm tired and worn out, but still feeling good and trying to still look good ;) My students seems to be just as excited about Lucas as we are, so at the end of the year, I must bring him by to meet them, I know they'll love it!!

Andrew even came by to meet my class today and to eat lunch with us, what a surprise for me!! and they loved getting to meet him, too :)

Tomorrow we will be at 27 weeks, my glucose test is coming up next week, wish me luck!!

26 weeks

Today is officially 26 weeks and we are only 98 days away from LB's due date. I am trying to enjoy every minute of my pregnancy...I know Lucas will be here so soon and the time will pass so quickly. We are so excited to meet him.

Now I'm starting to not only feel Lucas move, but I'm actually starting to see him move at times!!

Starting back to school has got me tired and hurting (back) at times, but I am making sure to rest a LOT and take it easy if I feel that I need a break.

100 days

100 days...it's hard to believe, but Lucas's due date is 100 days away! We are so excited and cannot wait to meet our little boy! He's already so loved, and we are so blessed with great family and friends-we cannot wait for y'all to meet him! Yay... 100 or so days!

Prep for LBO

As the summer draws to a close, the preparation for baby Lucas continues.... Yesterday, our pack n' play arrived (another gift from my Grandma & Grandpa), and I was super excited to get it!! Since I hadn't been able to put together most of his furniture outside of handing tools and such to Andrew, I was excited to help put together the pack n' play! We got one with multiple features because we plan for him to sleep in it when he's first born and in our room, and we want to use it at different stages in his life.

Here are a few pictures...

Newborn napper & Changing Pad Area--hope to utilize them both!!

Again, we could not be more blessed by our family members and all of their love and support, we cannot say THANK YOU enough!

Lucas's Nursery: Update

My grandparents are not only amazing people and not only did we get to spend part of our weekend with them, but they ended it with wanting to get us a few things for Lucas. We went and picked up his dresser today and Andrew put it together (he says he likes putting things together, but I think he's almost had his fill-lol). We are also expecting the Pack n' Play to show up sometime later this week, our big things we need for him are dwindling down, which is a great thing!! We are way too blessed. God has always worked in a magnificent way and He was worked in big ways in providing for this baby for us, I cannot say how blessed we feel and I cannot say thank you enough to those who God has continued to lead to bless us. We are so thankful for God's blessings and the family and friends He's put in our lives.

Here are a few pictures of the assembly!

25 Weeks & A Special Visit

Today we had the honor of spending some time with some of my grandparents. I am one lucky child to have had all of my grandparents in my life for so long, not many people have the privilege to say that. Today we helped my grandparents do some stuff around their house and just spent time with them and only them! A rare and precious and very special opportunity! They told us stories of so many things, memories I cherish.

Today is also the 25 Week mark, what a great countdown...not much longer...a little over 3 months before we get to meet Mr. Lucas!! We cannot wait!!

Baby Finds

Andrew occasionally likes to go to Goodwill and thrift shops/consignment shops. Today after an awesome service at church, that's what he wanted to do. The Goodwill near us has had some good baby deals lately. Here's a look at our finds today.

A bumbo=$3
A floor mat/puzzle=$3

3 Tommee Tippee bottles with all the accessories, plus a few spare parts. (Had a few others we steralized with those). We aren't sure what kind Lucas will like, but the pack we found today was $2.50!!! and the others ones were free from coupons, etc, so I figure if he doesn't like a specific kind, we have others to try! Plus today's finds were blue, how cute!! Andrew spotted them good eye, babe!!

And here's a look at 24 weeks
