6 Months

Here's a look at our little (should I say big guy) at 6 months? He has grown so much.

Currently he is eating baby food, usually 2 times a day.
So far he has successfully eaten:
  • sweet potatoes
  • pears
  • apples
  • green beans
  • oatmeal
  • rice cereal
Lucas is really good at sitting up, still tumbles some, but he has gotten a lot stronger. He LOVES playing in the bath, which he always has, but now he can sit up and play. He LOVES his jumper and exersaucer/jumper. He loves playing with Tink and Tanner, trying to grab on them and love on them. He enjoys being outside and looking around. He loves Ms. Debby (his sitter) and is captivated when she talks. He is trying to scoot and move now. He pulls up on his arms or tries to get his knees up, but usually ends up going backward and gets mad! He is still going to bed by 8pm and thrives off of routine and his schedule. He has slept through the night once a month since February :) When he wakes up it's to eat and then he's back to sleep once he's finished. He's also had his first cold or battle with allergies over the past month, but nothing serious, thank goodness. He has his 2 bottom teeth which are getting bigger. He loves to be tickled and he enjoys playing with toys. Lucas loves to read and listen to books, plus chew on anything he can reach :)

He loves to sit with his hands behind his head

Good-Bye dinner with Aunt Amy

I love my little family

"Mom, I can't look for your picture right now, this grass is calling my name!"

First try at a restaurant high chair, not too bad kiddo :) Looking cute as always.

The first 6 months have been great and we've learned so much. Our little guy is so sweet, so happy, so laid back, and so fun!! We cannot wait for the next 6 months and the many years we have to watch our little man grow!! He goes for his 6 month check up next week :) We get to find out weight & percentiles!

My 1st Mother's Day

We spent the weekend in North Augusta and visited all of our family over the course of the weekend. We had dinner with Daddy & Ms. Mindy plus lunch on Sunday with Mama & Mr. Eddie, plus visited my grandparents. It was a a busy weekend, but a lot of fun. I'm happy to have this new title :)

Updates on LBO

Currently Lucas is eating cereal once a day and still taking 6oz bottles while at Ms. Debby's house, usually 2 a day there. He is still waking up to eat at night, but quickly puts himself back to sleep. He has his 2 bottom teeth coming through! He loves the exersaucer and jumper!! He also is sleeping without a swaddle, woombie, etc....he moves so much they wouldn't do any good anyway :) Here's a look at our little man trying his skills at sitting up...still working on it, but getting stronger.

oh grass

playtime

We've also tried the swimming pool a couple of times since it's soooo hot...water still needs to warm up some for Lucas to truly LOVE it.

Lucas also got his first car...ok so I got a new car, but it's a 4 door to help with transporting Lucas, plus it's a little bigger for all of us :) a 2011 Mazda 6! It's pretty snazzy, plus we got to keep the Mustang for those days and errands when Lucas is with Daddy :)

Grandma Visits

My mom and I have always loved spending time together...shopping or whatever we can find to do. Since Lucas has been born the focus of course is on him, and so our visits are more about him :) (however, we usually squeeze in some shopping at some point). Usually if she comes to visit us Andrew and Mr. Eddie go to a gun show while we shop, etc, but over breaks with Lucas she's come up here simply to visit and hang out. Since we are on spring break she decided to visit us today. We had a lot of fun and found some new summer clothes for Lucas :) He's going to be quite stylish!! Thanks Grandma for coming to visit and thank you for his new sweet outfits.

He smiles so big when I'm the one snapping the pics

beginning to hold his paci (he's not attached to it, but enjoys it on occasion)

that grin!

A Jumper and A Tooth (possibly)

We bought a johnnie jumper for Lucas a couple of months ago because he loved standing on us, pushing, and 'jumping' when holding him. A couple of months later (at a more appropriate age LOL) he is starting to understand its purpose.

Another discovery, it looks as if Lucas is beginning to teeth. Occasionally he will grab my fingers as I'm holding him and start to 'chew' or gnaw on them. Today I noticed it hurt a little bit. I started to look and it looks like on the bottom he has a little whiter spot on his bottom gum....he's growing so fast, and here's just more proof.

Also, it's very scary and creepy when you see another 'you' ...I've never experienced this, but I notice more and more that Lucas is a lot like me. The other night when he was trying to get to sleep and moving around to get comfy, I just had a moment that hit me over the head and I was like Oh my gosh, that's me!!!
